Change Management / Communications Manager

This is an estimated 4 month temporary position, in Kent, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements, and support many of the top rated Pacific Northwest companies.

Responsibilities:

This job contributes to our success by working with all our departments to create and execute transition communication, training plans and deliverables for IT related activities, programs, and projects.

The Change Management readiness support – Training and Communications Manager is a key-partner in the transformation and mobilization of the IT organization. This position supports the robust change management agenda by assessing and prioritizing learning and communications needs and implementing strategic end to end readiness activities and communications to support the business.

The position requires a self-motivated, driven, and creative individual with a high level of initiative, detailed and thorough planning skills, solid technical and communication skills (both verbal and written), and a strong desire to be part of a dynamic and innovative team environment driving the strategy of readiness activities.

This role is accountable to work with all functions in the IT division, key vendors who deliver our hardware and software programs, cross-functional coordination with partners across the businesses campus initiatives and technical implementations. Models and acts in accordance with the company’s guiding values and mission.  The role also integrates IT communications across the enterprise and serves as a regular contributor to change management efforts.  This role will provide training as needed to members and lead change initiatives from the front.

Requirements:

  • Define, drive and create innovative solutions across departments to support business transformation initiatives
  • Identify and implement the strategic end to end readiness training activities and communications to support IT initiatives
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on tools and strategies
  • Design, plan, facilitate, and manage training programs that will resonate and cross line of business, across all levels of the organization. Inclusive of facilitator-led and virtual initiatives
  • Serve as a communications advisor to project managers and stakeholders and assist in building strategic communications plans
  • Manage oversight of SharePoint pages and intranet sites to ensure communications are delivered appropriately and efficiently
  • Oversee content management, user interface design and creation of support materials for company intranet
  • Drive accuracy, consistency and efficiency

Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications with an emphasis on company internal communications is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Strong writing experience and expertise in a variety of media (including emerging communication technologies), creative conceptualization, writing for comprehension and editing
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and resources, including the management of external communications vendors
  • Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of large change management and change communication programs; connecting strategic communications to successful business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability and success in creating and delivering effective communication plans and strategies
  • Knowledge of and experience in working across geographic and cultural boundaries
