Volt has an Exciting Entry Level HR /Recruitment opportunity within a great  team located in Down Town Portland with free parking provided. Help us source the best candidates for new job opportunities in the greater Portland Area through networking, working job fairs, handing out flyers, working with community organizations and sourcing internal and external job boards!

This position is a 6 month contract opportunity with the potential to be hired on at 6 months. 

Essential Duties:

Partner with our managers, recruiters and on-site teams to determine open requisitions that need outbound sourcing support.

Serve as our liaison with various diversity and community based organizations.

Uncover active and passive candidates of our many job opportunities through existing and new sources- including job fairs, online job boards, university recruiting, partnering with local businesses, job fairs, community events and organizations. 

Promote the company and job opportunities through distribution job flyers, signs and attending job fairs.

Maintain and update a prospective candidate list. 

Track and report out monthly on your activities and results: new sources developed/events attended, applicants provided, results of recruitment sources and the return on investment of each resource. 

Find the most qualified candidates, screen resumes to identify matches, forward matches to recruitment team. 

Conduct phone screens of perspective applicants and sometimes set up interview for recruitment team if required by manager.

Follow up with candidates regarding question or interview specifics. 

You will travel to various locations in the community as well within the office.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an office environment

Flexibility to occasionally work non-standard business hours and travel with in the greater Portland Metro area

Own method of transportation to and from work and work events

Ability to sit, stand, bend lift and move intermittently during working hours
