Job Description

Must possess extensive strain gauge placement and wiring experience. Must have the ability to interpret drawings and gauge and wire accordingly. Requires good communication and people skills as this position maybe required to train current and new employees in the art of gauging and wiring load cells. This position may require extensive travel, both domestic, and international for extended periods. Must possess the ability to make informed decisions at the customer’s place of business, while working very closely with the customer’s staff.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


Apply strain gages to various transducer parts, using microscopes, tweezers, ovens and special adhesive according to drawing specifications.


Sandblast and centreline various materials using various measuring devices including callipers and height gage.


Solder lead wires to terminals posts and then onto strain gages per drawing specifications.


Cover, coat and zero balance transducers to drawing specifications.


Train and oversee new employees on prototype builds, production builds and overall gauging and wiring of load cell transducers.


To assist in the development of process sheets, training current and new employees in the art of gauging and wiring load cells.


Will be required to gauge and wire to assist in meeting production requirements if necessary.


To develop the skills of the current and new employees.
