Compounder in Edison, NJ at Volt

Job Description

VOLT is seeking a Compounder in Edison, NJ. They are currently in need of Compounders for 1^st & 2^nd     and 3^rd shifts due to company expansion! Direct Hire opportunities!

About the Job:

• Monitor equipment, control temperatures, and check for overall consistency in mixes.
• Follow standard instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to measure or weigh dyes, raw materials, and other substances into the mixing equipment.  
• Take samples of the batches and turn them over to a laboratory for testing and tasked with filling out paperwork about the compound batches.
  Accurately mix raw materials.
• Inspect equipment to detect leaks or malfunctions
• Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flow meters or products
• Open valves or start pumps, agitators, homogenizers, flow meters, heating or cooling equipment.
• Adjust controls to regulate temperature or flow of liquids or gases.
• Record operational data
• Handle sampling of bulk product
• Handle in process batch corrections  
• Perform Kettle cleaning and sanitization and Cleaning Auxiliary
• Prepare color solutions.
• Responsible for labeling, handling, weighing and transport of finished batches.
• Work with CMS and other WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
• Understand/trace basic flow of piping and other related systems for the purposes of basic troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Qualifications needed:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2+ years related experience as Compounder
• Possess basic mathematic skills.
• Understand manufacturing instructions and potentially complex formulas.
•  Capable of lifting heavy drums and bags.
• Experienced Forklift Operator
• Bi-lingual - Spanish a plus.
• Must be computer literate and be able to work with inventory and WMS programs
