VOLT is looking for COMPUTER Technician for 100% remote/tele commute (Oak ridge, TN)

Position: COMPUTER Technician

Location : 100% remote/tele commute (Oak ridge, TN)

Duration: 6 Months (ability to extend and can go permanent based on performance.)

Must be willing to work between business hours of 6:30am-9pm M-F.

Hours are subject to change based on business need.


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school education or equivalent.

1 year of call centre/help desk experience or demonstrated technical abilities preferred. Technical school desired.

Client has an opening for a Remote Service Desk Associate with primary offices located in Oak Ridge, TN.

The Service Desk Associate will provide support for local and remote users with Microsoft Outlook, standard Windows desktop applications and operating systems, a variety of commercial (COTS) packages, intranet and internet browser, Android, and iOS devices, and DELTEK applications.

This is a shift work position requiring some flexibility in work hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
 Hardware/software troubleshooting experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months of computer support in a technical call centre environment.
• Proven experience providing effective and professional communication addressing moderately complex technical issues via telephone, email, and person-to-person.
• Demonstrated customer awareness, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Experience in desktop support, IT concepts, and help desk software.
• Proven ability to think and troubleshoot logically, and act decisively in critical situations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products, Internet Explorer, and Windows.
• May be some travel

• This is a remote telework position, an acceptable candidate should have high speed internet as well as a quiet work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
 Minimum 2 years’ experience computer hardware/software support
• Technical certifications such as A+, MCP, MCSE, CCNA
• Windows 7 or 10, IE 11, Terminal Services, VPN software, Microsoft and other commonly used commercial products (including Office 2013 Suite and beyond), strong Microsoft Outlook skills, remote access, DELTEK Cost point, Android and iOS support
• Account administration, password reset experience.
