We are currently looking to hire a Contract Administrator (Legal/Manufacturing Exp.) for our client in the Aerospace industry located in Oakville, ON. This is an approx. 1 year contract for the likely possibility of extension and/or turning into a fulltime opportunity for the right candidate.

Hours per week: 37.5 

Pay Rate Range: $28-31/hr (T4) + medical benefits available

Job Description:

The Contract Administrator is a  highly motivated individual who works to provide first class service to our client’s internal and external customers. He/she will support contracts for the supply and maintenance of aircraft landing gear, wheels and brakes for the commercial aircraft industry.

This is an approx. 1 year contract with the potential for an extension of up to 2 years and then the possibility of becoming full time direct with the Client.

  • This role reports to the legal department. However, experience in managing and administering legal contract s in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Specific Duties include:

  • Support the Contract Administrators in duties related to the administration of contracts and some proposal negotiation support for aerospace Commercial OEM and Aftermarket programs in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Promote an ethics-based business culture within LS.  Develop positive working relationships with internal business teams.
  • Perform research to provide guidance, interpretation, advice and interface with the business team, Program Management, Finance, Engineering, and Demand Management regarding all contractual aspects of the program(s).
  • Engages in direct discussions and negotiations with customer.
  • Tracking and monitoring open proposals, status reports, working with demand management on contractual requirements, deliverables, on-going contract administration throughout term of contracts, analysis of settlement of contractual claims, .
  • May interpret, prepare, administer and act as conduit to legal team regarding a wide range of other agreements including complex Non-Disclosure agreements, service contracts, international representative agreements and others.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum: BA/BS degree w/2-3 years relevant business experience; or 5-7 years relevant aerospace experience without degree; Microsoft Office proficient.


  • Minimum of 2-5 years relevant business experience.
  • Successful candidate must have demonstrated:
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong customer relations, interpersonal skills and team participation skills.
    • Excellent written, presentation, and general communication skills.
    • Strong negotiation, business compliance and risk mitigation skills.
    • Ability to work under tight time constraints and multiple priorities.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
