Job Description

Volt is actively seeking a Contract Specialist for our client in Durham, NC. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic company in the medical device industry.

The duration of the assignment is up to six (6) months.  

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

The Contract Specialist will support reimbursement and business operations by preparing, organizing and managing all third-party insurer and sales contracts, applications and renewals for the company.

  • Prepare all third-party insurer and sales contracts, applications and renewals ensuring valid terms, conditions, pricing and content, for legal review.
  • Provide reports and data to field reimbursement personnel to communicate status of contracts,renewals, licenses and rebate structures.
  • Prepare documentation and facilitate regularly scheduled contract review meetings with field reimbursement personnel, legal counsel and business management; serve as internal champion/owner of contracts through pricing approval process to expedite the execution of contracts.
  • Update and audit system to ensure current, correct and valid contracts are loaded.
  • Reconcile agreements from CM system against SAP to ensure database is accurate and without duplication.
  • Conduct audits to maintain accurate database of customers’ primary affiliations 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field or 4 years of relative work experience in a contract administration/management role.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in contract review and administration (medical, Durable Medical Equipment, Specialty Pharmacy, managed care, insurance) and/or payer relations or medical policies.
  • Knowledge in SAP or other integrated software, Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and managers in multi-cultural environment.
  • Contract administration experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
  • Paralegal certification is preferred.
