Direct Hire Controller Opportunity for a Manufacturing Facility in Lillington, NC.

Purpose / General Description: Contributes to all areas of facility management and provides strong financial leadership. Responsible for planning and coordinating the budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. Leads the finance team and provides direction and recommendations to improve performance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all accounting operations including Billing, A/P, G/L, Inventory, and Cost Accounting.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on the current month's financial results to the site and corporate management following the corporate format and time requirements.
  • Analyze variances and communicate explanations to management with recommended actions.
  • Integrate and train new staff while leading the continued professional development of the existing team.
  • Share best practices across the global finance team, e.g., process improvements, financial modeling, and procedures.
  • Provide proactive/unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Managing Director and senior management team members to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis.
  • Monitor and implement internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets and identify risks.
  • Ensure proper accounting under U.S. GAAP as well as local statutory requirements.
  • Develop and implement an effective strategic direction for the finance team aligned with Boon Edam Int'l strategies and the local organizational objectives that focuses resources toward achieving the business goals.
  • Lead the development of the financial budgeting process in support of the strategic business objectives.
  • Maintain job knowledge through awareness of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks and participating in professional organizations.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with peers and leadership and work across organizational boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant or corporate objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; or other related field of study (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Active professional certification as CPA or CMA
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in leading finance teams in a manufacturing environment with a strong cost background
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products and ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus)
  • Strong organization, project management and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (able to communicate well with colleagues at all levels and locations - in the organization)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead improvement efforts and contribute to the success of a team.
