Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Conventional Machine Operator (CNC Machine Operator) within the Nashville, TN area. 

The ideal candidate will operate CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate precision parts per engineering specifications. This position requires knowledge of machining techniques, machining methods, and familiarity with tool operating procedures. You must be able to read blueprint specifications and check parts for conformance, using a variety of measuring tools. Additionally requirements include training operators, improving existing processes to ensure maximum equipment utilization and managing multiple machines.

  • Observe and implement Lean Manufacturing methods in all job assignments
  • Maintain spindle turning at maximum at all times
  • Ensure parts and tools are loaded correctly and that quality is consistently maintained througout the assignment
  • Change and adjust cutters under supervision as instructed
  • Knowledge of general machining processes using a wide variety of machine tools
  • Understanding of CNC type machines and the processes they use, such as set-ups, monitoring, change-outs, etc.
  • Know how to maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Blueprint reading and basic math skills
  • Good manual dexterity
