Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions  is seeking an entry level (level 1) Cost Control Analyst. The Cost Analyst is  responsible for the implementation of standard processes, tools, and program planning and control.  This position is located in Oxnard.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Follow desktop procedures to load weekly data in Microframe Project Management (MPM);
  • Compile data from multiple sources to create weekly program namerun; 
  • Support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration;
  • Support preparation of budgets, schedules, and ETC/EAC;
  • Perform and/or assist in financial performance analyses and visibility reporting;
  • Support variance analysis reports; incorporate baseline changes into EVM system;
  • Utilize Microframe Project Manager (MPM), Costpoint, and Excel. 
  • Assist in the preparation, and submittal, of formal Cost Performance Reports (CPR Formats 1-5). 
  • Conduct CAM interviews, and coordinate other analysts.
  • Interface with Program Leadership and external customer, and support all DCAA/DCMA audits.
  • Share responsibility for controlling all changes to the PMB, and ensure that cost and schedule integration is maintained though-out the RAM.
  • Perform independent EAC and Variance Analysis.
  • Earned Value Experience (for level 3).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.  A minimum of 3 years (or 6 years for level 3) professional related experience -OR - a Master's degree with 1 year (or 4 years for level 3) of professional related experience. (Other degrees may be considered if coupled with extensive related skills and experience)
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, specifically Excel (especially pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Prior experience with MPM and Costpoint, or similar systems.(for level 3).
