We are looking to hire a Costing Analyst/ Financial Analyst with Aerospace/Manufacturing experience for our Client in the Aerospace industry in Oakville, ON for approximately a 6 months contract with the strong possibility of extension for another 6 months.

The Right Candidate will meet the following Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance related field
- Ideally, 5 years of experience as a Costing Analyst in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with business case analysis

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Program Finance Manager this position will be primarily responsible for providing Landing Systems product costing support for, but not limited to, your assigned programs. This would include but not be restricted to the collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial and cost data from numerous sources. This position will also be required to present various business cases to management to aid in making sound business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Establish and monitor standard costs for assigned programs, ensuring the integrity of BOM structure and routers with program planners.
• Ensure accuracy of year-end standard cost roll
• Validate and explain/present year-over-year changes in standard cost updates to Finance and Program Management during annual Planning cycle.
• Ensure cost reduction initiatives are captured in annual Plans and Forecast
• Identify unusual trends or exceptions in purchase price and production variances and present recommendations to management
• Update monthly forecast for known PPV and production variance issues.
• Perform make/buy analyses
• Support business case presentations by providing estimating/negotiating support for new business proposals
• Partner with the Integration team by performing analyses during new program development phase to ensure execution is per the “as sold” model
• Provide results analysis by program; perform gap analyses to Plan and Forecast
• Perform and contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual tasks and reporting
• Perform ad hoc analyses for projects as assigned
• Participate and identify Continuous Improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance related field
• At least 5 years of experience as a manufacturing costing analyst or related experience required, preferably in a multi-currency aerospace environment
• At least 5 years costing experience and exposure to business case analysis
• Accounting designation or in final year of CPA program
• Excellent PC skills; demonstrated strength using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc. is required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience within an ERP environment; experience with SAP is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• UTC Core Foundation Competencies including Ethics, Integrity, Values and Trust
• Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
