Our client is is seeking an experienced and motivated Credit/Collection Specialist to join our dynamic team. Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collection of outstanding account from the existing client and patient base, invoicing client accounts, handling payments and receivables, resolving billing issues and reducing unsettled accounts. Maintains independence with a positive spirit and works well with others – on a daily basis – in our team based environment. May place outbound calls, messages, and utilize external resources, along with standard customer service duties.

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing open client accounts and making necessary collection efforts.
  • Making professional outbound collection calls, while keeping and maintaining relations with clients.
  • Resolves billing issues and works with Client Service Managers to coordinate account rescue efforts.
  • Collects patient payments in accordance with company guidelines and policies.
  • Identifies issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with leadership.
  • Review, monitor, and issue, assigned reports and tasks.
  • Provide timely follow up on account collections.
  • Works efficiently with standard PC programs; including MS Word and Excel.
  • Maintains the ability to exhibit basic accounting and problem solving skills.
  • Regularly handles client invoicing with their respective team members.
  • Efficiently corresponds and communicates with internal and external parties independently.
  • Prioritizes and organizes personal tasks and responsibilities on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have two years of a customer service, billing, or accounts receivable background; worker’s comp experience preferred but not required. Should have strong problem solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, as a team, and adapt to a fast-paced and high-volume environment. Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy. Telephone, email, and internet communication skills are highly preferred and should be comfortable with handling inbound/outbound calls.

Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
