Volt is seeking a Creo Super Modeler to work onsite at our client’s facility in Mossville, IL. This is a contingent position forecasted for 12 months. 

Within this role, you will:

  • Manage engine platform super models – being responsible for spatial location, quality, organization, and availability of all the in-production and near-production component iron Creo and JT models for all marketing applications and all cylinder-count configurations (This is managed as a single, very large Creo assembly)
  • Interact daily and mentor the entire L3 to L5 design staff to add new, remove canceled, and continuously improve model quality
  • Participate in Design Reviews, Virtual Validation, NPI programs, and other major design projects
  • Create and display single-configuration, multi-configuration, or price list models for design reviews or cost reduction events
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and functions as the Super Model is the collecting point for all platform activity and the Super Modeler is the single authority for 3-D model quality and usability

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Excellent Creo skills; must be able to demonstrate or prove skill in very large assembly management
  • Excellent Creo Family Table creation and maintenance skills and understanding of the unique practices of managing FT in Teamcenter
  • Familiarity with engine component design, component function, and component location/orientation
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language - written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Must be self-sufficient - able to make good judgment and take assertive action without help
  • Must be confident and convincing - authority to mentor US design staff in application of best design and reuse practices
  • Must demonstrate skill in developing problem solving strategy

*** This position is located in Mossville, IL.  Candidates must be able to relocate to this location at their own expense. ***

Must be available to work on W2 for Volt.  No C2C or 3rd party vendors please.
