Job Description

This position is a Direct Hire with a local Santa Barbara Contractor that specializes in High End Home Building and Remodeling. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with an Architectural Degree or background, who may want to be out in the field more doing Construction Project Management and learn all that consists of. 

This position offers a chance for the right person to get involved in all aspects of running large, custom residential projects.

The Project Manager/ Superintendent Competently develop Scopes of Work, Requests for Proposals and professional communications with trade contractors, employees and clients

Read into and analyze trade contractor proposals

Understand the sequence of the work and what will be required in the way of tools and/or materials in advance of the work

Lay out carpentry projects and accurately calculate the amount of materials required for carpentry projects

Understands or is willing to learn the fabrication and installation of all phases of framing and finish carpentry work

Effectively direct the work of laborers, carpenters, superintendents, and trade contractors

Understand and strive for safe practices on the jobsite

Efficiently and effectively coordinate and run multiple projects simultaneously and concurrently from the ground up, with strategic planning, program development, within budget, and on schedule

Utilize Procore for Daily log, Photos, Documentation, and record keeping, AutoCAD is very helpful 

Read and interpret plans

Analyze, compare, and evaluate subcontractor bids
