Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a high impact Customer Success Liaison to help our sales and business development teams at a well-respected growing biotech company in Orange County. This is a permanent position with benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of and proven experience in biotechnology business development and client management. We are looking for a self-starter and a highly motivated and driven individual who is not afraid to take initiatives in maximizing the efficacy of our marketing and sales efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and help activate employees within the business development and customer success departments. Will develop and implement strategies useful in improving customer relationship, dedication, and satisfaction across multiple customer-facing teams.
  2. Support sales and business development staff in all day-to-day activities
  3. Collect, analyze, and interpret customer interactions data from SalesForce to identify requirements and information useful in optimizing customer experience.
  4. Integrate customer relationship management (CRM) and financial data in order to maintain a consolidated customer account for top performing clients.
  5. Report pertinent client information and findings and data to executive team to help drive business decisions.
  6. Responsible for overseeing and training of customer facing personnel to ensure an effective workforce.
  7. Work closely with Operations Management Teams to understand back end constraints and determine proper ways to communicate these constraints to customers.
  8. Train and become knowledgeable of current customer base (Direct customers, Domestic Distributors, and International Distributors) to prioritize customer accounts on various factors such as customer importance, project strength, date of PO etc...

Competencies:

  1. Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Product, Marketing, Services)
  2. BA/BS degree is required (MBA/Master preferred)
  3. Life science background is a bonus
  4. Ideally, 4+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Customer Success, Account Management, Business Development, or another client-facing role at a biotech company
  5. Must be able to follow-through with team members and new and existing clients
  6. Superb organizational, analytical, project management, verbal communication skills
  7. Ability to create structure in ambiguous situations and design effective processes
  8. Flexible, motivated, engaging team player with a “can do” attitude
  9. Must have initiatives and take ownership and accountability
