Job Description

We are currently searching for an Account Manager for our client located in Harvey, IL. Harvey is located approximately 30 miles South of Downtown Chicago.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Account Manager will have responsibility for driving on-time delivery of all Electrical Raceway and Metal Framing Products.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Handle all aspects of customer service, including entering, tracking and invoicing orders and releasing material for shipment
  • Process all EDI orders and maintain EDI cross reference tables per customer
  • Provide order status to agent/customer on all open orders
  • Heavy communication (via email and telephone) with customer base to handle all orders, inquiries, and follow up in a prompt and professional manner
  • Obtaining and evaluating all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross functional departments such as demand planning, pricing, traffic, quality, and accounts receivable.
  • Promptly responding and assisting agents/customers with damaged shipments and/or mis-shipments.
  • Investigate, Resolve and Process deductions
  • Complete Certificates of Conformance as needed for orders
  • Check and maintain pricing levels and quotes across all orders and products lines
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Prioritize orders to traffic by Distribution Facility
  • Manage Regional Territory and agent standard processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred with at least 5 years of experience in a sales or customer facing role
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Office, Word, Excel & Power Point)
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.com, a plus
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or with little supervision in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience with AS400, JDE and Salesforce is a plus
