Customer Service Representative


Process orders and prepare correspondence to fulfill customer needs. Responsible for providing product, service, and transit information to the customer and act as a liaison to facilitate issue resolution.


  • Strong computer related skills.
  • Experience in Customer Service preferred.
  • Experience in Excel preferred.
  • SAP and Red Prarie system experience desirable.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to interact with the customer.
  • Some flexibility of work hours at Manager's request.


  • Ensure timely completion of all activities based on client requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Ability to work with other associates.
  • Ability to aid associates with solutions to various problems.
  • Ability to recognize training needs and issues.
  • Administer/assist training.
  • Communicate to supervisors and managers daily activities and needs within the organization.
  • Communicate with client/customer as needed.
  • Understand and maintain the required levels of quality and productivity.
  • Maintain legible and accurate records or logs as required.
  • Review documents prepared by members of the work group for accuracy and legibility.
  • Monitor safety, quality, performance, and security.
  • Monitor and communicate better methods of receiving, shipping and order picking.
  • Report unsafe conditions to the Operations Supervisor if they cannot be self-corrected.
  • Provide input to any team as needed.


  • Effectively communicate with customers in person and via phone, verbally and non-verbally to accomplish necessary goals.
  • Performing duties which require sitting, standing, or a combination for up to eight hours.
  • Ability to create, edit and write materials or reports.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to file and retrieve documents.
  • Ability to be a cross-trained back-up for other office functions
  • Ability to learn technical material to accomplish necessary objectives
