Job Description



MAJOR GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build rapport and establish good relationships with referral sources and customers. Accurate verification of insurance, obtain authorization for product needed. Maintaining computer Master Files to eliminate billing errors. Reasonably complex tasks that may require problem solving and routine judgments having to be made.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma required. College degree preferred.

ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES:
1. Review order to ensure all information entered by Customer Service was entered correctly.
2. Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorization or referral and obtain additional supporting medical documentation, whichever the customer’s insurance dictates.
3. Prepare and send medical documentation requests to the customer’s physicians.
4. Contact all patients that have an Out-of-Pocket expense and review benefits.
5. Update the ordering physicians office if there is going to be a problem with the order (i.e. Patient does not have coverage).
6. Validate codes and fees.
7. Prioritize urgent or emergency orders.
