Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via incoming calls, written specifications, and emails.
  • Be able to read and understand technical industry requirements as well as technical documents and drawings to evaluate a Customer’s inquiry.
  • Act as liaison between customer and all other company departments (sales, manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, etc.)
  • Focus on providing efficient and timely delivery of customer’s orders and replacement orders.
  • Communicate with Department Supervisor and sales staff regarding order problems or issues.
  • Assist A/R and A/P department in resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure that customer credits: 1. Processed in a timely manner 2. Processed correctly and 3. Coded correctly from an inventory perspective.
  • Maintain filing system for customer orders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have good listening, verbal, and writing skills.
  • Must be able to type above 40 wpm.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a diverse, fast paced environment.
  • Be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Possess at least 2 years of experience working with customers.
  • Have experience in conflict resolution.
  • Must be able to understand basic accounting practices.
  • Must be willing to temporarily work in the Warehouse to learn day to day operations.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
