Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic Customer Service Supervisor for their very busy production facility located in the heart of Sonoma County! 

In your role you would be responsible for managing the order-to-cash activity.  Making sure that the company is maximizing customer satisfaction in a productive, profitable and sustainable way. You would be responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between sales order analysts and upper management. In addition, this position is responsible for promoting and maintaining positive customer relations and providing customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Manage the performance and improvement of operational processes including:

o   Order Entry/Order confirmation/Order verification

o   Inventory availability management

o   Customer service regarding order status, billing, freight, issues, etc.

o   Outbound logistics management (pick up/delivery, freight prices)

Key player for EDI management

•         Create, analyze and communication internal KPI to drive customer satisfaction (On-time delivery, order shipped complete, order invoiced on time etc.)

•         Overseeing and assessing customer service staff activities, and providing them with regular performance-related feedback.

•         Strategizing and monitoring daily activities of customer service operation.

•         Assisting customer service staff with resolving problems and completing work.

•         Training staff in areas of customer service and company policies.

•         Isolate and identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency and/or customer satisfaction/costs.

•         Assist in hiring, training and performance management of sales order analysts.

•         Performing additional duties where needed.


Required Experience, Knowledge, & Skills


•         5+ years of customer service or supply chain experience in a comparable manufacturing environment and a BA/BS degree is preferred

•         Experience dealing with outbound logistics and freight carrier contacts

•         Strong technical and analytical skills.

•         ERP experience in a manufacturing environment strongly needed.

•         Demonstrated leadership skills in a strong teamwork environment

•         Experience working with EDI

•         Familiarity with freight rules and processes.

•         Familiarity with food manufacturing certifications and regulations.

•         Familiarity with supply chain processes and order management

•         Familiarity with export rules, processes and documentation.

•         Ability to organize, track and manage a variety of concurrent activities and projects

•         Excellent computer skills including intermediate to expert Excel/ERP skills required.

•         Self- directed and able to work independently

•         Strong written and verbal communication skills

•         Ability to interface successfully at all levels in a multi-cultural environment


Budget/Supervisory Responsibility

•         Supervisory responsibility of a team of 3 people.
