VOLT has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Infrastructure/Systems Admin to work onsite at our client’s facility in East Peoria, IL. This is a contingent position expected to last approximately 12 months. (No C2C)

Candidate Responsibilities

Candidates should have a strong Microsoft background, previous desktop support type positions/experience, command line experience, and have a high aptitude for learning and growth within a role.

This analyst position is responsible for triaging malware on remote Microsoft desktops and other operating systems, troubleshooting, and work on a few tickets.

Typical Day

provide technical and/or team leadership in the installation, configuration, and support of software and tools within the technical infrastructure of the organization and assume responsibility for the team monitoring the network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance and issue resolution. No remote work.

Education Requirements:

Computer-related or Engineering-related four-year College or University Degree (or equivalent work experience) Seven or more years progressively responsible. IT job-related experiences.). Candidates must be US citizen, permanent resident, or Green Card holder.

Technical Skills

Desired experience with one or more of the following: PowerShell and WMIC command experience, and/or batch scripting experience. At least 5 years’ experience troubleshooting Operating Systems, demonstrate thorough understanding of OS administration tools, and able to efficiently use command line interfaces in OS administration. A Microsoft background, desktop support experience, command line experience, IT Security background.

Soft Skills

Critical thinking and problem/puzzle solving. High aptitude for learning and growth. Interpersonal skills - ability to work well in a team environment.
