Job Description:
Cyber Security Analyst
Designs, plans, tests, and implements secure solutions in the fields of cloud computing and IT service management. 
The scope of involvement is broad, involving all aspects of complex hybrid IT and cloud environments – including identity management, role-based security, policies, operating systems, networks, security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, auditing, encryption, PII, and firewalls. 
Must be proficient developing and facilitating federal security plans to conform to Federal guidance, such as FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53 and DFARS. 
Develops and implements security controls and formulates risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs. 
Researches, evaluates and recommends security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy. 
Utilizes COTS/GOTS and custom tools and processes/procedures in order to scan, identify, contain, mitigate and remediate vulnerabilities, and intrusions. Performs analysis to validate security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. 
Supports the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports. May provide briefings to senior staff. The role involves working closely with team leads, technical team members, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather inputs and facilitate marketing planning and implementations.

Must possess expertise with NIST SP 800-37/53, RMF, Cloud SRG IL5/6, FedRAMP, FISMA, DFARS, FIPS, and CMMC. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of IT security within the context of application deployments and cloud computing.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and services such as the following: FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, LDAP, etc.
• Packet analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, ngrep, etc.)
• Must have understanding of exploits, vulnerabilities, network attacks
• Prior experience in a SOC or other technical security function is a plus
• Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) security concepts
• Excellent problem solving skills that would allow for the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly; self-motivated.
• Must be a team player and able to manage all situations in a professional manner

Education/Experience Requirements: 
A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or master’s degree and 12 years. Certifications a strong plus.
