Volt has an opening for a talented Embedded Systems / Cyber Security Engineer to support the implementation of cyber engineering into DoD platform-based products with one of our major clients in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved throughout the full lifecycle of the development program including requirements development, architecture, design, integration, test and certification of products.
  • Minimal travel (up to 15%) may be required to support testing at customer sites as well as various activities during the development phase

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM degree with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree / PHD in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM degree with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with implementing embedded Cybersecurity Solutions, Security Authorization requirements, vulnerability assessments, threat mitigation, and emerging Cybersecurity technologies
  • Product development experience to include architecture, requirements, design integration and testing
  • Current IAT level 2 or greater cybersecurity certification per DoD 8570.01; such as Security+, CySA+, etc.
  • Compliance implementation with security requirements (i.e. Risk Management Framework and other A&A processes)
  • Agile development experience with embedded and networked systems
  • Systems Engineering experience working with complex embedded systems or equivalent capability
  • Capable of development technical solutions following the assessment of complex customer needs
  • Experience in participating in technical reviews with both internal and external customers
     

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge in developing systems and configuring security postures with real time operating systems (RTOS), such as: VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity, etc.
  • Experience with firmware development languages (e.g. VHDL design, VeriLog, etc.)
  • Experience with software design and implementation
  • Implementation of Anti-Tamper solutions in Embedded products and systems
  • Experience working on DoD programs
