LOCATION                           BETHESDA, MA 20817
Type                                     6 Month Contract to HIRE FULLTIME

On the floor, 24/7 COTs tech operation center.

Managing Tier one data center

  • Single point of Contact for client as Datacenter Manager
  • Assist with new hire interviews, staff onboarding and continuous mentoring and training of staff.
  • Provide proper training, set clear expectations, and with the assistance of client, provide tools for Data Center Techs to effectively execute daily job responsibilities.
  • Plan and coordinate all daily datacenter operations and activities – Data center Manager
  • Plan weekly and long-term work as needed
  • Assign ticket and project work to the techs and insure tasks are performed in a timely manner/ as required
  • Ensure tickets are updated and ultimately closed
  • Monitoring environment, creating tickets and monitoring tickets to completion
  • Set schedule, retention, recruitment
  • Managing another team that does conference center support
  • 27 people that report to manager across 3 teams
  • Minimum 5 years running and managing a data center
  • Engaging with customer and also walking the floor for one of the shift 60% of time hours 8-4
  • Work location is in Bethesda office and on campus, (office at customer at CIT)
  • Review and offer recommendations (whenever possible) on improving existing processes.
  • Follow best operational practices and contribute to maintain or improving high datacenter uptime
  • Maintain routine communication with on-site staff to ensure team task objections are being met.
