Job Description

Our client has a need for a Data Entry Operator – Enrollment & Billing Services for their facility in Meridian, Idaho. This is a temp to hire position and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. Job Summary:

As a Data Entry Operator – Enrollment & Billing Services, you will be responsible for performing prompt and accurate on-line data entry of group and individual applications, enrollee updates, Coordination of Benefits (COB) and Accidental Injury Questionnaires (AIQ) information into the system.


Required Experience:

  • One-year general office

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):


  • Typing (35 words per minute)
  • Ten-key (75 key strokes per minute)
  • Verbal & written communication


  1. Data enter new enrollees, changes and terminations in the enrollee sub-system.
  2. Update indexing numbers into the image/archive system for processed applications and verify the process.  Maintain a log of processed applications.
  3. Enter data to generate identification cards.
  4. Process and data enter new group business.
  5. Recognize and report problems to the supervisor and/or other areas as necessary.
  6. Enter other insurance information and or update existing information accurately into the Subscriber/Member application of the Facets or current system when information is received. Information comes from applications, COB letters, emails, phone calls, etc.
  1. Enter accident information accurately when received on AIQs, claims, emails, telephone calls, etc.
  2. Identify claims needing reprocessing due to additional COB or accidental injury information received, create intakes and route them to the proper claim processing area on a timely basis.


  1. Date stamp and sort all completed documents.
  2. Research and distribute incoming correspondence and billings.
  3. Note COB information from reports or queries generated by either Benefits Administration or other departments within Blue Cross of Idaho.
  4. Research incoming correspondence.
  5. Perform all other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
