Job Description

  • The Development team creates and maintains web and desktop applications that augment and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
  • Create new functionality and maintain existing code based for our current Supply Chain COTS tool.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues by tracing the flow through custom and core COTS code base.
  • Research and recommend database development best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and business users to clarify requirements and confirm design/implementation.
  • Collaborate with DBAs on performance issues, best practices, and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for adhering to the requirements and design specifications documented.
  • Responsible for adhering to development standards set by architect. 
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company.  Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need

  • BS in Information Technology or a related technical field plus 5 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.  Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education.  Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Hands-on experience with the following:
    • Oracle PL/SQL
    • Packages and procedures/functions
    • XML handling
    • Web service calls
    • Triggers
    • Performance tuning
  • Strong SQL DDL, DML, and SQL Procedural Language (PLSQL) coding skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills.
  • Good understanding of RDBMS Concepts
  • In-depth knowledge of T-SQL and PL/SQL including tuning
  • Familiarity with Oracle specific tools and utilities such as Quest TOAD, SQL Developer
  • Understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • The following skillsets are preferred:
    • Cloud-based database experience
    • Worked within an Agile/SCRUM team
    • DevOps experience around continuous improvement, automation, and continuous integration.
