Job Description:

Data Center Manager will be responsible for all work activities in support of primary data center in Piscataway, NJ.  Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:

  • Single point of Contact for client as Datacenter Manager
  • Assist with new hire interviews, staff onboarding and continuous mentoring and training of staff.
  • Provide proper training, set clear expectations, and with the assistance of client, provide tools for Data Center Techs to effectively execute daily job responsibilities.
  • Plan and coordinate all daily datacenter operations and activities
  • Plan weekly and long-term work as needed
  • Assign the above ticket and project work to the techs and insure tasks are performed in a timely manner/ as required
  • Ensure tickets are updated and ultimately closed
  • Power monitoring and management
  • Cooling monitoring
  • Implement approved client processes and procedures regarding Data Center Operations for Piscataway, NJ.
  • Timely assignment and follow up on tickets.
  • Review and offer recommendations (whenever possible) on improving existing processes.
  • Follow best operational practices and contribute to maintain or improving high datacenter uptime
  • Maintain routine communication with on-site staff to ensure team task objections are being met.
  • Provide weekly reports on activities in the data center, notable highlights, issues requiring escalation, and other relevant topics.
  • Manage the onsite visits of authorized TS vendors for purposes of specialized equipment installs, maintenance, and repairs as needed. Ensure vendors are properly escorted per TS security policies
  • Manage the receiving and shipment of equipment deliveries


  • 3+ years managing a large datacenter
  • Experience leading a team of datacenter technicians
  • Basic understanding of power and power systems (DC, AC, Voltage, Current, Power, PDUs)
  • Organization skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • MS Excel and Word skills
