Deployment Lead - Deployment Coordination Services
Company Description

National provider of IT and business services for customers ranging from large, multi-national corporations to small partnerships (“the Company”). Services cross multiple disciplines include managed services, network integration, software development, business intelligence applications, and legal consulting services for clients across numerous industries.

Overview of Role and Reporting Relationships

  • The Deployment Lead will report to the Vice President of Professional Service and is responsible for project management and coordination of our clients team activities, third-party vendors, and clients.
  • Projects are focused on deploying/migrating/upgrading technology (cloud-based solutions, operating system upgrades, etc.) through managing and following a defined process in customer environments.
  • Heavy focus is placed on mass data collection and analysis, migration scheduling, and project management with an overall goal of enhancing the customer and end-user experience.

This position will be responsible for the following key areas:
Pre-Sales and Planning

Collaborate with a Solution Architect in deployment planning and design:

  • Designing a Phased Solution Model that accomplishes a smooth and seamless migration experience
  • Development of Communications Plans, Marketing Plans, Training Plans
  • Planning Pre and Post Migration end-user support

Technical Project Leader/Manager

  • Lead and manage the project teams (both internal and client)
  • Coordination of the Deployment Process by developing and maintaining user migration schedules, incorporating changes and communicating with the project teams
  • Facilitate required status and other meetings with executive level committees, client management, project teams and staff
  • Handle product procurement, tracking and inventorying as needed
  • Proactively manage issues as throughout the project, including redirecting the project path as needed

Technology Knowledge and Experience

  • Large data set manipulation and analysis (merging, queries, filters, etc.) using a database (SQL, Access, etc.) or Excel
  • Microsoft PC and Server Technologies
  • Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Office 365
  • Enterprise Networking
  • PC and Application Deployment/Management

Business Development / Strategy and Leadership: Collaborate with Business Development to help secure new and residual business. This may include client
visits and/or some presentation responsibilities:

  • Identify other business opportunities primarily through relationship management and basic knowledge of our clients service packages

Qualifications

  • BA or BS is preferred but will consider equivalent and relevant work experience
  • 10+ Yrs. experience in the IT field – Consulting experience a plus
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to remain flexible, objective and adapt well to change
  • Strong background in Project\Program Management. Experience with large enterprise companies is a plus
  • Experience with upgrading/rolling out of technology for a large user group (Email Migration, Active Directory, Server Migrations, Office 365)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project; Proficient in Microsoft Access and SQL is a plus
  • Strong Interpersonal, self-management and team building skills; Must work well in a team setting
