Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is in search of a Deburr Operator for our client located in Everett. This is a great way to get your foot in the door with an established Aerospace manufacturer, and to gain industry experience. This is a 2nd shift assignment, and the potential to be Temp to Hire, so please apply!

The Deburr Operator remove burrs and excess material from machined and/or sheet metal parts to within specified tolerances, by operating various hand, power, and pneumatic tools while performing the following duties:

  • Reads and interprets written work order instructions, specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine appropriate tool requirements to perform deburr operations
  • Removes sharp edges and excess material from machined and/or sheet metal parts, to within the required tolerances as given on work order instructions and specifications
  • References work orders to verify correct quantities of parts are received, deburred, and subsequently forwarded to the next operation
  • Sets up, operates, and performs daily preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment used in the department

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10- 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40-50 pounds
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work orders, specifications, drawings, blueprints, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
