Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Design Engineer to work onsite at our client’s facility in Clayton, NC. This is a contingent position expected to last 2+ years.   

Must be available to work W2 for Volt, No C2C or 3rd party vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with highly technical hydraulic engineering team to develop hydraulic systems and components for earth moving equipment.
  • Select and validate hydraulic components for use in mobile equipment.
  • Work with cross functional team to understand internal and external customer requirements. Perform analytical analysis to define component and system requirements.
  • Develop validation plan and carry out necessary testing to prepare system for production.
  • Job will be a mixture of improving current product and developing new products.


  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in technical or engineering curriculum.
  • 3 yrs. hydraulic & Reading prints required
  • Creo/Pro-E desired
  • Intermediate Excel/Microsoft Suite required (for data analytics)

Typical Day:

  • Candidate will be marking up drawings for a detailer to release.
  • Testing on vehicle
  • meeting with product group to determine requirements for systems.
  • Developing validation plans.
  • Individual will be in the office and field.
