Job Description

Volt has partnered with a large IT services company in search of a Desktop Support Manager to sit on-site at one of the world's most prestigious hedge funds. 

Responsibilities:

Manages the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services to customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop systems.

Ensures that all phases of desktop support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.

Oversees updates to asset records to ensure timely and accurate inventories are available.

Manage staff, including motivation, reviews, training needs and overall performance and report on key service-level metrics and strive for continuous improvement

Effective presentation skills and ability to convey complex processes clearly and concisely Maintain the highest level of customer support for the customer base through proactive management and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives Promote a professional environment at all times and provide a point of escalation of staff, customers and internal teams with the area of accountability

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques. Experience managing large team of technicians Experience with desktop support for large customer base
  • Strong project management skills. Mature organization and time management skills. Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Accomplishes tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized multi-tasking abilities Ability to direct projects effectively to find an efficient solution
  • Really strong Microsoft Excel skills
