Job Description

VOLT has partnered with a IT Services Organization to provide Desktop support onsite in NYC.  Candidates must have strong Desktop Support experience in a fast paced environment and hands on experience with both PC and MAC environments/support.  Candidates who do not have this experience will not be considered at this time.

This role is very hands on with configuring, deploying and (RCA) Root-Cause-Analysis troubleshooting desktop/workstation, hardware and software support relative to customer IT environment.

Extensive experience supporting Entertainment industry end users is a strong plus.

Troubleshoot desktop operating system, application errors and PC hardware issues.

Troubleshoot minor server-hardware issues.

Manage trouble tickets from inception to closing, includes tracking resolution progress and updating customers on ticket status. Provide OS and database maintenance. Set up and maintain user desktop environments; relocate and set up peripherals as may be required. Asset Management/Order, inventory, and return IT parts and equipment as needed. Maintain printers; troubleshoot issues.


Minimum H. S. Diploma.

At least a CompTIA A+ Certification

3 – 5 years support experience that includes the following: Enterprise user desktop hands-on configure, setup and troubleshooting Windows, Mac OS X, Dell/HP and/or UNIX/Linux, server hardware Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) or Novell networking

Candidates must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

MUST show a passion for providing exceptional deskside customer service for Power Users

MUST BE polished, professional and articulate
