Job Description

Volt has partnered with a managed services provider in search of a Desktop Support Specialist at a large financial services organization.  

The position is concentrated around setting up laptops, monitors and phones and troubleshooting software and network issues at the user level. Because of the corporate nature/environment at this location the tech chosen will needs exceptional customer skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Desktop Specialist will analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots software/network issues with focus on responsiveness; provides issue resolution. Maintains inventory and documentation of activity. Escalates more complex issues to 2nd level. 

Qualifications:

  • A+ certification. 
  • 2+ years of experience in a help desk or desktop role with a focus on troubleshooting software, AD, setting up users and resetting passwords. 
  • Familiarity with ticket-tracking software.

  • Ability to communicate with the customer and users will be on the forefront.
  • Problem solving and self-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
