Development/Research Engineer in Lafayette, IN at Volt

Volt is seeking a Development/Research Engineer to work at our client located in Lafayette, IN.  This is a contingent position forecasted for two years.  Within this role, you will be responsible for engineering activity planning and coordination among multiple engineering functional groups.  You will organize meetings to assess and coordinate engine software validation resources appropriately and provide frequent updates to the team lead and management on progress of assigned engineering development programs.

Education:  Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Required Experience:

• 2 to 5 of engineering experience
• Knowledge of project planning methodologies and tools
• Basic knowledge of engine systems and operation
• Working knowledge of J1939 Communication Protocol
• Working knowledge of CAN CCP, Vector Tools
• Experience with the MathWorks tool - MATLAB and Simulink
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be a team player and able to communicate project progress issues and resolutions to team lead and manager
