Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a client located in Bellevue, WA. This is a 6-month contingent to hire role. We are among the largest IT recruitment firms in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top-rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

In this role you’ll be responsible for: automation of creating and configuring infrastructure in the cloud (Azure), creating and or troubleshooting code deployment pipelines (Powershell/ Python), and automation of monitoring/logging platforms. 

This role will include in depth support of Windows Server, Linux Server, and applications written in legacy and current .NET versions, on the Microsoft Azure platform.


  • Experience with configuration management using tools such as DSC, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, Terraform or Puppet etc.
  • Effective in at least one high-level scripting language (such as Powershell or Python), and the desire and ability to quickly learn new languages.
  • Experience implementing automation and orchestration workflows to solve engineering challenges.
  • Recent experience as a DevOps engineer working on either engineering or build/release teams.
  •  Windows and Linux system administration (3 years)
  • Experience automating against RESTful APIs (2 years)
  • Experience utilizing Layer 4-7 load-balancers.
  • Experience with configuration management: DSC, Puppet, Chef, etc. (2 years’ experience)
  • Expert-level proficiency with PowerShell and/or Python.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing enterprise-grade monitoring, logging and alerting solutions (3 years)
  •  Experience designing and building cloud infrastructure (2 years)
  • Proficient in git-scm.
  • Proven experience with building and operating CI/CD pipelines.
  • In depth support of Windows Server, Linux Server, and applications written in legacy and current .NET versions, on the Microsoft Azure platform
