Job Description

VOLT is looking for a Dev/Ops team to  help support and drive improvement to shared services and CI/CD processes utilizing GitHub, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and related offerings.

You will have the opportunity to work with multiple other shared services at an enterprise level and contribute to identifying and implementing new technologies and efficiencies.

What You’ll Do

  • Migrate existing and spin up new services in Google Cloud
  • Work with developers on the Continuous Delivery pipeline
  • Monitor team services and drive efficient and smooth operations
  • Ensure auto scaling of team services
  • Document and automate current deployment processes including automated testing and multi-stage code promotion
  • Champion shared services and new technologies within your embedded team and the larger organization
  • Assist the larger Dev/Ops organization with shared services and CI/CD processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Ideal candidates will have Google Cloud experience.
  • Enterprise environment experience supporting production systems, ideally one that crosses multiple time zones and continents.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using code repositories like Git, ideal candidates would have Terraform experience.  A significant portion of their workload will be modifying and deploying code, and nearly everything we do is via code deployment not using a GUI or other manual methods.
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience is highly desirable, GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) is ideal.  We understand it’s a less common skill set and this is a nice to have more than a requirement.
  • Enterprise ticketing tools (our client uses JIRA).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins would be ideal, having at least a basic understanding of CI/CD processes is necessary.

Volt offers the ability to work with some of the world’s leading companies, and organizations committed to helping you take the next step on your career path.
