Job Description

Volt has partnered with a leading apparel distribution company in Santa Fe Springs to help identify multiple Maintenance Mechanics for DIRECT HIRE employment. These are for 1st and 2nd shift. Weekends will be required. Please review schedules prior to applying and make sure you are able to work one of these shifts. Pay is up to $25/hr. 

Shifts available:

  • Thursday-Monday 5:30am-2:15pm
  • Friday-Tuesday 4pm-12:45am
  • Sunday-Thursday 4pm-12:45am

In this role you will be required to maintain all material handling equipment within the distribution center
Specific duties will entail:

  • Repair equipment and machinery, including but not limited to; lift trucks, domatic MDR (Motor Driven Roller) conveyors, pneumatic sorters, air compressors, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and electronic systems
  • Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts used/bought and repairs.
  • Ensure full compliance both with equipment manufacturer and Company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Diagnose and repair in-line with DC productivity timelines, all electrical/mechanical systems
  • Ensures the maintenance area is organized, neat and clean. Identifies and acts immediately regarding any safety hazards, spills, etc... Uses safe lifting techniques and operate powered equipment in a safe manner.
  • Abide by all state and federal regulations while performing work - i.e.: lockout/tagout procedures
  • Performs carpentry and millwork as required in safe manner at all times
  • Maintain and repair 1 mile of Powered Domatic Conveyor, 40 Rats (Right Angle Transfers)


  • 2+ years’ experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Industrial/Trade School courses/certifications.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints/CAD.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management with confidence and respect.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (Bilingual- Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical drive systems
