Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions has partnered with a prestigious manufacturing company in the San Fernando Valley seeking a dynamic and innovative Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance ready for the next step in their career. 

This is a Direct Hire Opportunity  3rd shift 6pm M-F 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Removes defective dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical, hydraulic
and pneumatic equipment problems.
• Experience with Electrical DC and AC up to 460 volts is required.
• Working knowledge of electrical motor controls systems and components.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s is a plus.

Education:
Requires a 2-year technical degree on electrical motor controls or industrial automation.
