Job Description

Volt is currently hiring! 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input engineering documents (item masters and bill of materials) into Syteline, the ERP system.
  • Process engineering documentation to and from engineering.
  • Ensure alt ECO's / redlines are approved and that changes are implemented in to TLA drawings.
  • Organize files and folders in the document control database.
  • Determine which sales orders are to be released for manufacturing and those to be processed in the engineering department.
  • Release job packets for sales order.
  • Generate job travelers for sales order.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers and IMC product representatives.
  • Support accurate and timely maintenance of all approved electronic and manual record keeping systems. Ensure compliance in accordance with 'MC AS9100 standards. Periodically review department work instructions to ensure correct processes are being followed.
  • Maintain a continuous effort to learn all aspects of the department including administrative processes, philosophy, acceptable and preferred internal and external communications methods, language and techniques. Strive to learn how to effectively do the job of others to prepare for personal advancement or effectively fill in when vacancies occur. Maintain a high level of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Learn in general, the role of other related positions and departments that directly affect 'MC's ability to deliver quality products rapidly and on time.
  • Seek to improve all systems. Communicate possible improvements to systems in use.

Knowledge/SkiIIs and Abilities:

  • Profficiency in the use of standard computer equipment and Microsoft Office products including MS Word and Excel.
