Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Small Batch Operator for a Manufacturing facility in Clark, NJ.
This is for the

 

1st shift 6:00AM-2:30PM

2nd shift 2:30PM-10:30PM

 Schedules will be Monday-Sunday with two days off back-to-back. 
Training may take place on a first shift or on off shifts. Must be available for weekend work as needed. *Shift subject to change*
Temp to Hire position
Pay Rate: $23.00-$25.00 DOE
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Using the manufacturing job to complete reactions or liquid and dry blends in the small batch room area. This involves following all mix instructions and adhering to the batching formulas.
  • Double checking all stages before using to ensure accuracy against the manufacturing job.
  • Cleaning processing equipment to ensure product quality and equipment reliability before and after processing
  • Interacting with HMI and CMS to access and follow work instructions or using the paper copy mix instructions attached to the job.
  • Follow mix instructions and protocols for using PPE at all times, including use of respirators
  • Basic quality testing of products during processing also required.
  • Various cleaning tasks as assigned such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and use of cleaning devices and agents to sanitize the general work environment.
  • Meet all quality and safety standards, including involvement in training and “Eye for” programs
  • Complete all paperwork associated with the job in a precise and timely manner.
  • From time to time may be required to assist in support of the other manufacturing suites which includes but not limited to the operation of reactors, ovens, breaking ovens, blenders, metal detecting while strictly adhering to batch formulas. Training will be provided as required.
  • May operate vehicles such as floor scrubber or forklift in execution of duties

Minimum Requirements:
HS or equivalent experience
Previous experience in process operation in which has been demonstrated a high degree of competence and understanding of process equipment.
Problem solving ability and aptitude for learning and professional growth.
