Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is “Hiring Now” for a Director of E-Commerce in beautiful Santa Barbara. We prefer local candidates as there is no relocation allowance for this position.  The ideal candidate will must have 2-3 years of Magento management experience. You will lead and direct the operation of the E-Commerce product line. Develops business strategic and annual business plan; collaborates on E-Marketing strategies and tactics to promote products to online customers; collaborates on website development and enhancements ensuring currency of products and services offered; oversees warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory management and print production staff and customer service activities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

-Directs the operations of the E-Commerce department to ensure strategic and annual objectives are met

-Monitor and maintain eCommerce website, Magento based.

-Develops strategic and annual business plans including sales and marketing objectives

-Ensures currency of product and service offerings on website through relationships with vendors at trade shows, conferences and networking

-Tracks customer current sales trends, analyzing collected data

-Forecasts future trends in fast-changing consumer markets

-Oversees inventory management via reviewing reports on physical inventory, accounting summaries and the like. Directs staff on cycle counts.

-Negotiates price and terms with product vendors

-Oversees refund and royalty payment management in collaboration with Accounting manager

-Ensures customer service efforts by phone and email follow best practices and internal service standards

-Directs warehouse/shipping and receiving and print production activities

-Reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.

-Manages staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.

-Manages departmental financial and budget activities

-Establishes and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with CEO as necessary


This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of seven to 10 years in sales and marketing. Post-graduate courses in sales, marketing and business operations preferred.
