Job Description

The EH&S Supervisor works to prevent and eliminate injury and illness to employees and helps our client comply with all safety and environmental laws. The supervisor will inspect the workplace and minimize or eliminate hazards from any unsafe process, such as incorrect working methods and materials and potentially toxic chemicals.

  • Assist in the development and presentation of relevant EHS training.
  •  Observe EHS regulations, wear all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the proper personnel.
  • Responsible for inspecting and evaluating the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with all government safety regulations and industry standards.
  • The key goal is to protect the employees, customers and the environment. The supervisor should identify potentially hazardous biological, chemical and radiological materials and collect samples of them for analysis.
  • Leads compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
  • Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation. Lead compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Prepare applicable EHS reports as necessary.
  • Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues to make recommendations to facility management. Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
  • Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
  • Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance. Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Comply with all Company and EHS procedures and policies.
  • Recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs.
  • Responsible for compliance with food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
  • Adhere to applicable prerequisite programs (PRP) per HACCP requirement.
