Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for Electrical Assemblers for a major provider of turbines and other power generation products. This role is a contingent opportunity in San Diego, CA. As an Electrical Assembler, you would work to layout, create and install various electronic components, such as control consoles, junction boxes, instrument panels, relay panels and battery racks. Successful employees will have a strong attention to detail and take pride in providing a high quality product, both quickly and safely.

Job Duties:

-Plan, layout, develop, fabricate parts, and build electrical/electronic wiring aids.

-Work from schematics, wiring diagrams, standard work sheets, engineering detail drawings, oral instructions and established shop practices.

-Review planning releases and engineering changes for their effect on wiring assemblies to incorporate required changes.

-Select, brand, cut, route, fasten, sleeve, tie and lug wires.

-Assemble and install wiring harnesses.

-Locate, drill, mount, and fasten components.

-Install various electronic components into control consoles, junction boxes and instrument/relay panels.

-Perform rework of the nature and level of difficulty described herein.

Qualifications:

-Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to focus on minute details.

-Must have demonstrated initiative and be self-motivated to learn new software, processes and skills with positive energy within a small, dynamic team.

-Must have open available to work either 1st or 2nd shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

-Previous electrical assembly experience and previous experience using hand and power tools is preferred.

-Blue print or layout schematic reading experience is highly preferred.

-Proven experience using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) is preferred.
