Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a few electrical assemblers for our client in Tempe.  Assemblers are responsible for the assembly, wiring,and testing of control panels for industrial equipment. Pay starts at $16/hr.

Job Responsibilities/Duties: Electrical Technician

  • Responsible for assembly, installation, wiring and testing of electrical equipment
  • Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specifications
  • Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot panels as needed 
  • Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication
  • Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion
  • May participate in job site visits.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • General cleaning in the area
  • Obey the safety standards of TPS and follow local, state, and federal regulations

Work Environmental & Physical Demand:

  • May stand for long periods of time with very little sit-down time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands
  • Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.

Minimum Requirements/Experience:

Must have 1-3 years of experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects

  • Knowledge of NFPA/NEC Standards
  • Knowledge of low voltage (less than 600 AC/DC)
  • Knowledge of high potential test equipment
  • Must have experience cutting, bending, and fabricating
  • Must be able to read tape measure
  • Must be able to read blue prints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
