Volt Workforce Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Controls Engineer for our client in Loveland, Col.  Due to organizational growth, we have two immediate opening for an Electrical Controls Engineering position.

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree.


Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical engineering experience with PLC and robotic automation applications.


Responsibilities include control system design, control panel engineering, PLC, HMI, and robot programming, and site start-up support of integrated packaging equipment for the consumer products industry. 

Familiarity with electro-mechanical integration of motors and motor controllers, actuators, and power supplies

  • Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, programming, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery and line control systems as well as specific experience with Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500) and Siemens S7 PLC’s, PanelView Plus HMI’s, Industrial Communication Networks (EthernetIP, ASI, Profibus, and Profinet), Indramat Servo Drives (IndraDrive, CS), Robot programming (KUKA, FANUC), and control panel design. 
  • Experience with AutoCAD, and Microsoft VisualStudio is a plus.

This position requires the ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities. Candidates need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.

The Loveland, CO facility has a staff of 130 professionals including 30 engineers that are dedicated to the mechanical and electrical integration of automated production solutions. *Must be available for 40 to 60% project travel.
