Job Description

Great long term opportunity for an Electrical Drafter or PCB Designer with OrCAD or similar software experience.

Job Description The electrical drafter creates documents that capture the client's IP in devices and assemblies such as:
  • custom designed electrical and electronic components mounted on PCBs
  • sub-assemblies of custom designed components and commercial hardware
  • arrangement of sub-assemblies and components in cabinets, satisfying both electrical and thermal requirements
  • arrangement of cable connections between various components, both for power distribution as well as for instrumentation and controls
The tool to capture these documents is OrCad. The documents are prepared for checking and release through the Windchill system.

The electrical designer/ drafter works off provided sketches, analyzes as-built-hardware, participates in concept and design brainstorms and reviews.

The electrical designer/drafter uses established industry practices for electrical drawings such as ANSI and IEEE Minimum Qualifications Technical training in drafting.

Experience in relevant industrial applications of electrical and power-electronic components.

Experience with computer-aided drafting systems, used for electrical engineering. Preferred Qualifications Technical degree /  Degree or Certificate in Electrical Engineering and drafting.

Experience with
  • OrCAD drafting.
  • CREO (PTC)
  • Windchill (PTC) and drafting / checking / release processes.
Experience with lab / shop floor assembly and testing of electrical components.
