Our client, a full service architectural and engineering firm in the state of Washington, is seeking a Group Manager for their Electrical Engineering group.  This is a direct hire position with company benefits, and is an outstanding career opportunity.

This position, which reports directly to the President/CEO, is a leadership role that includes managing the firm’s Electrical Engineers and related staff, and guiding the contribution of the Electrical Engineering Group to the firm’s projects.  The position will work closely with project managers to oversee the planning and implementation of electrical designs for our projects.  It is a client-facing position, and requires strong communications and collaboration skills with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience in commercial facility engineering and be knowledgeable in the areas of power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, and low voltage design.  We are looking for a manager with a firm grasp of project management and the importance of scope management in the delivery of successful projects.  The position will also require a strong understanding of engineering design concepts and strong technical acumen. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S.E.E., Registered Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering, and 15 years’ electrical engineering experience.
  • 8 years’ experience as a Project Manager or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP Certified • NCEES Record • LEED Certified • LEAN Certified • CEM, CSI-CDT, or CCS • Professional Memberships, i.e. ASHRAE, IEEE, NFPA, or WSSHE
