Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking and hard-working and reliable Electrical Maintenance Technician. This successful candidate will be responsible fro the preventative maintenance and modification of automated equipment and of troubleshooting electrical issues.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Duration: Temp to Hire
Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time 
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st and 2nd shift (Must be able to work in the morning to get trained for 2- 3 weeks)
Pay Rate $30 an hour 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provides electrical installation support for new machinery installations and plant upgrades, to include power and controls wiring of electrical equipment, such as transformers, motors, controllers, pumps and control systems, etc.
  • Supports the equipment expansion efforts as required and assigned.
  • Inspects, services and, as required, calibrates; components of the safety systems, compressed air systems, and inert gas systems..
  • Installs and/or maintains motor, generators, lights, electronic equipment, transformers, switches, lightning restorers, welding equipment, power and light lines, control panels, automatic controls, switchboards, etc.
  • Inspects, trouble-shoots, diagnoses and provides electrical maintenance support of production machinery.
  • Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years; 3 involving electrical work
  • Knowledge of electrical (AC and DC) and control cabinets and industrial motors
  • Knowledge of: Microsoft computer programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Good attention to detail and reliable
  • Bilingual is a plus
