Volt has partnered with a manufacturing company in Vista.  They are looking for a dynamic Electro-Mechanical Technician!

Electro-Mechanical Technician

Job Purpose:   Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems.

Essential Functions:

  • Trouble shoots and repairs downed equipment both mechanically and electrically using proper testing and measuring instruments, diagrams and schematics.
  • Trouble shoots equipment on a more advanced level replacing and programing VFD’s when deemed necessary, trouble shooting and repairing faulty circuit, relay’s, timers, wiring, etc. all in keeping with  manufacturing’s standard requirements.
  • Operates the lathes and mills for fabricating parts as needed.
  • Welds steel, stainless steel and aluminum when needed for equipment or facilities.
  • Installs new electrical circuits as needed for production or facilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
  • Experience with electrical systems (installations, frequency drives, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with electronics (level probes, flow meters, drives-VFDs, etc.)
  • Experience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with mechanical systems (gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, bearing)
  • Experience with PLC (programming, logic controls)
  • Experience with reading product manuals and schematics.

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuous standing, walking, climbing squatting and kneeling.
  • Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers: must be able to grip/ grasp or touch objects or tools.
