VOLT Workforce Solutions is NOW HIRING Electronic Assemblers for a long term contract position on the East side of Indianapolis, IN.

Purpose of this position: 

To manufacture/disassemble/ perform minor rework/minor of repair surface mount and/or through-hole printed circuit card assemblies, subassemblies, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies.

Daily Duties:

• Board and/or component preparation 
• Printed circuit board stuffing and/or assembly 
• Touch up 
• Manually soldering components 
• box-building 
• Performing modifications, upgrades, or removal and/or replacement of standard electro-mechanical, surface mount, through-hole components
• Tend machines that solder and/or desolder, press, shape, wind, or place component parts 
• Clean and degloss parts using cleaning devices, solutions, and abrasives.
• Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

A practical knowledge of the following: 

• Electronic component identification 
• Ability to work from routing instructions, and interpretation of mechanical and electrical schematics is required 
• Previous training in industry soldering and assembly standards 
• Experience in Electronic Worker Cable & Chassis position is highly preferred.
   

A High School Diploma or GED is REQUIRED.  

Also, must be able to distinguish color variations.
